Walk Humbly—We strive to walk in humble fellowship with our Lord and Savior, motivated by God’s grace and in reliance upon His Spirit.
If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25 NET
Partner Financially—We strive to partner with God’s people financially, many of whom have supported us as far back as 1972.
Minister Skillfully—We strive to provide the highest quality spiritual care: “A Chaplain who is growing and developing chaplaincy skills is a huge benefit to any patient and family in hospice care.”
Communicate Clearly—We strive to be true to the Christian faith, to accurately convey the Bible’s message of God’s grace and peace through Jesus Christ.
Pray that I may make it known as I should. Colossians 4:4 NIV
Serve Genuinely—We strive to earn the trust of those we serve by being real: “Chaplaincy care is grounded in initiating, developing, and deepening a mutual and empathic relationship with patients, families and staff. The development of genuine relationships is at the core of chaplaincy care and underpins, even enables all the dimensions of chaplaincy care to occur.”
Engage Respectfully—We strive to be respectful of all patients and families including those whose spiritual views differ from the biblical viewpoint; to love objectively and without compromise or arm-twisting: “In hospice care, a clinician for any discipline will engage patients from various ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds…”
Give Generously—We strive, in Good Samaritan fashion, and as God provides through his people, to make a difference in the quality of care received by patients and to provide respite for weary caregivers.
As God provides through his people, each one of you should give just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 NET
Act Responsibly—We strive to earn and maintain the confidence of friends and financial supporters via email reports under the banner, “eGlimpse.” Additionally, PALM provides quarterly reports to the Great Commission Foundation and to the PALM Advisory Team.
